Eighteen images of Camassia scilloides, Wild Hyacinth, Atlantic Camas, a member of the lily family, Liliaceae, native to moist rocky outcrops and field edges from Pennsylvania to Georgia, west to Texas, north to Ontario. Under the name Camassia esculenta in older literature, it was reportedly used by native groups as a primary food source, after the roots were boiled. However, many of the tribes that are said to use the plant live outside of its recorded range.
