Nine images of Lonicera sempervirens, Trumpet Honeysuckle widespread in Eastern North America, occurring from Quebec, Maine, to Florida, west to Texas and Kansas, northward through Iowa and Michigan to Ontario. It is among the best native plants for attracting hummingbirds. Several cultivars are in the nursery trade. According to Francis Peyre Porcher in his 1869 work on Resources of Southern Fields and Forests, a syrup of the leaves of this obscure medicinal plant was given in asthma and tonsillary angina.
