Actaea pachypoda. Doll's eyes, white baneberry, baneberry, a member of the Ranunculaceae, buttercup family. Found in rich woods in the Eastern deciduous forest of North America, the potentially toxic root treat was used by native groups as an aid in childbirth; also used for coughs, cold, menstrual irregularities and other conditions.
