Thirty-six images of Lemon Verbena, Aloysia citriodora, Aloysia triphylla, Lippia citriodora, a deciduous shrub native to Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Lemon verbena makes a fine herb tea and can be used in potpourris, floated in iced mint tea, or just hung about the kitchen for its lemon fragrance. It has limited medicinal use, primarily as a folk medicine in Latin America for cold, colic, diarrhea, dyspepsia, and fever. It has also been used to treat colds and fever in North Africa. The essential oil, found at about 0.5 percent in the leaves, has been used as a fragrance in bath salts, toilet waters, perfume formulations and Eau de Cologne.
