Asplenium rhizophyllum, Asplenium radicans, Camptosorus rhizophyllus, Walking Fern.

Asplenium rhizophyllum, Asplenium radicans, Camptosorus rhizophyllus, Walking Fern is an evergreen fern of mossy, shaded limestone outcrops of the eastern deciduous forest. Frond tips touch a conducive surface, sprout roots, then spread the fern, hence the name Walking Fern. Cherokee used fronds in decoction, compounded with other herbs, as a wash for swollen breasts; also as an emetic to induce vomiting as an adjuvant treatment to the condition.
