Atropa belladona, Belladonna, Deadly Nightshade. a member of the Solanaceae, native to Eurasia is one of the most famous poisonous plants, containing the toxic bioactive alkaloids hyoscyamine, atropine, and scopalomine. Atropine is a cholinergic blocking agent, mydriatic, antispasmodic and a nerve gas antidote.
