Blephilia ciliata, Downy Wood Mint, Downy Pagoda Plant

Blephilia ciliata, Downy Wood Mint, Downy Pagoda Plant, a member of the mint family found in forest edges and openings in much of the eastern deciduous forest. Cherokee used poultice of fresh leaves for headaches. Taste is bitter, not strongly aromatic; once suggested as a diuretic and antiseptic. Surpisingly little-researched.
