Jasminum sambac, Arabian Jasmine, Sacred Jasmine, Asian Jasmine, Pitake, Bungi, Melati, Sampaguiti, Melati Putih is an evergreen shrub in the olive family, Oleaceae, with divinely-perfumed flowers, the essential oil of which is used in perfumery. Originating from southeast Asia, and brought to the Middle East at an early date, it is naturalized in Florida and is the national flower of the Philippines.
