Ononis spinosa, Restharrow, Spiny Restharrow.

Ononis spinosa, Restharrow, Spiny Restharrow is a member of the pea family Leguminosae or Fabaceae. It derives its genus name from the Greek onos, referring to ass, as it is a favorite donkey food. The herb is traditionally used for bladder stones, and the young shoots were eaten in salads.
