Pilea pumila, Clearweed, Canadian Clearweed, Richweed, Coolweed, Stingless Nettle, a member of the Urticaceae (nettle family),found in damp shady woods throughout much of the eastern used. Bruised leaves traditionally use fresh externally for the treatment of inflammations, painful swelling, and inflammatory rheumatism or arthritic pain; also as a wash to poison ivy.
