Seven images of Sedum sarmentosum also known as Chui-pen-cao, has ACE inhibiting flavonoids which may make it useful to study for antihypertensive activity. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. The herb is used in traditional chinese medicine, valued for it's cooling activity to remove damp heat and deter toxicity. It is primarily used in hapatitis and jaundice, externally for sores. Native to East Asia, widely naturalized or weedy elsewhere.
