Zingiber mioga, Japanese Ginger, rang he, 蘘荷

Zingiber mioga, Japanese Ginger, rang he, 蘘荷 root and flower are used in Japan and China. Roots are pickled, and once used to treat malaria. Historically used for insect and scorpion stings. Decoction was used as a wash for inflammed eyes. Leaves are used similarly but considered weaker. Occurs in various parts of East Asia.
